"consideration of" or "consideration for"

if I have to say
"Thank you very much for your careful consideration of/for my application."

i am not certain which word to use and what are the differences.

Please help

oops i did use 1 time in my letter of motivation "for"

Why not rephrase? Say,

Thank you very much for considering my application.

Here - because it's a thing and consider here is about (looking at and) thinking about - you would use of.

Consideration for is usually used about other people, "showing consideration for others" - thinking about their needs, feelings, etc.

This one is not easy for native speakers - you can avoid the issue by using considering >
