Consider vs Choose

I had an english test yesterday and i've wondered what the answer is.
Q :
Hello! Thank you for ___ our company as your potential contractor.
We have a few samples that you might be interested in.
One of our staff will be sent to show you the samples shortly.
Should you select us for your final contractor, you wont regret.
Please let us know as soon as possible via email.
Thanks, we hope you like the samples.

but some people said "consider somebody as something" has a grammatical error.

This definition of "consider" can take "as". The other definition cannot.
