Connotations with Beverly Hills

Hi,

I realise these questions, which are more about the culture of English speaking people than about the English language, might not belong in this forum, but I don't quite know where esle to post them.

I have seen actors who grew up in Beverly Hills described as 'having too much Beverly Hills in them' or 'acting too Beverly Hills'. What are the connotations, positive or negative, founded or unfounded, associated with being raised in Beverly Hills?

Is there also a 'Beverly Hills' accent?

Thanks in advance!

I guess both these expressions refer to the type of lifestyle that a place like Beverly Hills has to offer. I don't think we can say that it is either positive or negative... it's just the way it is.

  • Obviously, the meaning would also have to be taken in context.
  • The two wxpressions above have negative connotations....

The two wxpressions above have negative connotations.... meaning that the person may be snooty, think too much of themselves o
