Connectors and Inversion.

Hi,
I was wondering if you can help me with these because they really baffle me all the times .

Foremost , how to use ( How/ Who/Which..etc) in the middle of a sentence .
I mean : e.g
1-The most fascinating problem in the world is ( who I am / who am I ) ?
2- If one of the participants in a conversation wonders ( what did the other person say / what the other person said ) ??
and so on ....

Secondly , I want you to elucidate the usage of inversion and the phrases that requires it ( e.g Not only ...but also , no sooner ....... than , etc. )

Finally , I will be very thankful if you illustrate a rule of thumb that can help me distinguish between the count and non-count nouns ; for instance , I thought "damage " is a countable noun until I abruptly found out that it is not .
Kind Regards , Emotion: smile
btw : feel free to correct any mistake I committed on this script ??? even the slightest things .
