Connection disrupted

Hey

Can you say that a connection (in a phone conversation) is disrupted, i.e. cancelled, broken, disconnected, etc.?
Or do I have to use another word?

Yes you could, but it would probably imply that the connection was not completely broken, perhaps only temporarily or intermittently. It is more common to hear broken, disconnected or even cut. Cheers

'A connection is lost' or 'a connection is cut-off' are also used.
