connecting passage

What is the most common word for a covered bridge (hallway) between two buildings? I am trying to find out what would be the best translation for this passageway that connects the airport building and the parking building on the second floor above the ground-level.
I am wishing to know a word, not a sentence to explain what it is.

connecting way, connecting hallway, connecting accessway,
a skyway, catwalk, skybridge, or skywalk.

In American English, "covered bridge" has a particular (historical) association. I would accept "covered walkway connecting the two terminal buildings"

Hi

To be honest, I think I'd just say 'covered bridge'. However, I found another word that's interesting: pedway

Hi

But I agree with Alphecca that a US 'covered bridge' has a special meaning - even in the UK. I think I'm thinking of The Bridges of Madison County

Thank you very much for your feedbank.
If the emphasis is on "above the ground", not on "covered",
would it be safer to say "elevated walkway"?

Hi

Elevated walkway is good, but it might not be covered. In the UK we have uncovered pavements that are built above road level and they are called elevated walkways, If you are writing in quite detailed terms, maybe 'elevated covered walkway'

You must decide ... http://www.londoncanals.uk/

If they are not completely enclosed, I think the term breezeway may apply. [ In Minneapolis, they have 52 of this type of walkway connecting downtown areas, because of the frigid winters and the oppressive heat in the summers. I don't remember what they call them there, but then they are all enclosed. ]
