Conjunction "While as"

I was talking to a peer of mine, when she pointed out that I said something incorrectly. The sentence was something like the following sentence:

"English has this sentence structure, while as Hungarian has something more like this."

I looked it up and couldn't find while as listed anywhere besides the Webster's dictionary where it was labelled as 'obsolete'. So my question, is while as a strange quirk of my personal speech or is this a normal construction similar to whereas?
