conjuction

Hello,

I was reading an article on conjuction. It says that a conjuction is a word which merely joins words or sentences.

It further says that relative pronouns and relative adverbs are also conjuctions but they do the other works also.

My doubts are:

1. Are relative pronouns and adverbs a conjuction?

2. What other works do they do?
