While I personally disagree with this verdict I'm gracious enough to congratulate you on the acquittal of your colleague. Truth be told Mr.

Rabkin I think even though the states case was circumstantial I think they had enough to show that he killed his wife. Ah well, it's not the

first time a murderer got away with his crime. The next time you speak

to Blake tell him that he is a very lucky man.

Wrong.
The state had a weak circumstantial case, predicated on the statements of two dubious and discredited stuntmen, with a history of mental illness. Knowing this, and hoping to gain a conviction, the state misguidedly charged Blake as the trigger man, although they had no forensic evidence or witnesses to substantiate the accusation. After thirty-five hours of deliberation, the jurors apparently came to the same conclusion: the state had no direct evidence or credible sources to tie Blake to the crime.

The Robert Blake trial was a discombobulation of prosecutors saying, "He may of done this, or he might have done that," and begged acquittal since the State is charged with proving *a* case beyond a reasonable doubt, not with extrapolating the possibilities of every doubt.
