Confusion on singular or plural possessive pronouns

My Grandmother and mother had each dedicated a room in her own house to the tribe.

My Grandmother and mother had each dedicated a room in their own house to the tribe.

Which one is right?

What possessive Pronoun do I use if t opposite genders are involved as subjects.
EX:
My Grandmother and father had each dedicated a room in ???? own house to the tribe.

I can tell it is two different rooms because of the each right? How do I know if each of them has their own room or if they both share a single room in the same house? Or it is not implied?
