Confusion between the usage of "however" and "though"

Consider this sentences:

He was feeling bad. He went to work, however, and tried to concentrate.

Unfortunately, though, this is a misreading of the law. (I'm not even sure if this sentence is correct)

So can you tell me whether the usage of the words "however" and "though" in here mean the same? If not, what are the differences?
