Confusing could and should..

i'am not sure about this helping verbs..can anyone show me what is the real usage and difference between should and could..hopefully..

Perhap, we could understand your questions better.

Should - suggests obligation, required, supposed.

Could - suggest possibility, enabled.

i.e. The man was found extremely dehydrated, and he could die without water in a few hours.

should indicates what is advisable, what you think is the correct thing to do in a given situation.

Larry should buy a new car. (I would advise Larry to buy a new car.)

could indicates what is possible, what someone is able to do in a given situation.

Larry could buy a new car. (Larry would be able to buy a new car.)
