Confused with Would

hi, guys,
thanks you first!
I've been watch Enterprise, there is a conversation between a Vulcan mother and her daughter who falls for a human. Vulcans consider themselves superior than humans.

Mother: Imagine the shame your children WOULD endure. Assuming that you two of you can have children.

Daughter: That WOULDN'T be you conern.

I looked up cambridge dictionary and couldn't figure out the two would here.
Can you please lighten me?
the link below is the dictioanry.

thanks
H.

What are the meaning and function of the two WOULD?

is it a past tense of the word WILL? or is it a request?

Thanks again.

Neither. It is called the hypothetical 'would'. It is of course the past form of 'will', but refers to present or future time.
