confused with the usage of word, behind

I would like to know which is correct, thank you!

But what struck me the most wasn't the fact that my family had been under attack by them for some time,

A. it was behind everything they did to my family that I finally found out how wicked and how cruel they hidden motives were.

B. it was when I finally found out how wicked and how cruel their hidden motives were, behind everything they did to my family.
