Confused with the definition

Hi,

I saw an article that has confused me. Would you please to fix it?

Financial investment refers to investing your money in financial assets. Financial assets that can be invested such stock, bond, derivatives, Certificate deposit, mortgages, and others. Financial asset is different with real asset. The financial assets may give you a sheet of paper, which represent your ownership. Your goal investment is to get gain from that investment. At least you must understand the third principal of Investments. First return, second risks, and third portfolio.
