Confused about a word's function in the sentence

"I dont even know if I should bother given the quality of your responses"

What is the word, "given" modifying exactly in the sentence?

Is it modifying the noun, "I" after "if" or the verb, "bother?"

Or is the word, "given" a substitution for another term such as "because of?"

Thank you
