confused

Suppose I have oat mils with me and there is a female cat. Can I say, 'do you think the cat would eat oat mil if I gave it to her.' to my friend?
Is my sentence correct with would? and also whats the difference between the sentence above and this sentence, 'do you think the cat will eat oat mil if I give it to her?'?
