it's about the use of "been"

when do i put the word been in the sentence?

hey thanks for the reply im just confuse if when i put been

when im constructing sentence.. yeah i know that it is on present perfect tense

like this example

i have eaten

and

i have been eaten

im just really confuse if i put been or not i really dont know the use of it

"Been" is tough, because it's the past participle of the verb "to be," which is about as irregular a verb as you could ask for. It's also involved in a lot of idioms.

As past participle, it's used in the perfect tenses, and as the "being" verb, it's used in the continuous (progressive) tenses, and in the passive voice.

You need to come up with lots of examples, and just keep

Actually, it's the perfect progressive tenses. (Hmmm, I'm getting too tired for this! )

I go. (simple present)
I am going. (present continuous)
I have gone. (present perfect.)
I have been going. (present perfect continuous)
I had been going. (past perfect co

YOU CAN USE "BEEN" in the present /past PERFECT have/has/had+ P.P "ACTIVE", and "BEEN" here is optional you can use any PAST PARTICIPLE instead.

e.g. I have been to England before.

e.g. I am not hungry. I have just eaten an apple.

e.g. I have seen that film for three times.

e.g. I had had my dinner before
