confirmation in post

Hello,
I would be very grateful if you could clarify what this means: the framework of recruitment and confirmation in post are not negotiable. I am having problems figuring out what "confirmation in post" is, eyerything else is pretty obvious...thanx in advance!

Thanx Clive! You are right, it is incorrect grammar, thank you for pointing it out. It's hard to define a larger context briefly. However, it has to do with the recruitment procedure for civil servants in the probation service. So the whole sentence goes as follows: "As probation staff are Civil Servants, the framework of recruitment and confirmation in post is not negotiable."

'Confirmation in post' means 'confirmation that you now have that permanent job position'
eg you are no longer a temporary employee, or no longer employed on a trial basis.
