I have a statement that is to indicate that if symbol in middle position of each reel is not the same.. This has been framed as "If the symbols in middle position of the reels do not match". Shall middle position be "middle positionS" instead?

Anonymous Shall middle position be "middle positionS" instead? I am not sure, since the rest of your text is not grammatically correct; it is just a fragment. Please supply the whole sentence.
