Confined/restrict/restrain her to her room

Bella's father confined her to her room when she failed all of her tests.

Is "confined" in the above interchangeable with "restricted and restrained?" Thanks.

Did you mean the sentence in question has to be revised if "restrained" is used?

Bella's father restrained her within her room when she failed all of her tests.
