Confine or limit

Which word it correct when I mean to say this:

If you choice this red shoes, it will 'confine or limit' your choices for clothes.

Which is correct confine or limit? And what is the difference between the two words?

Thank you. So your explanation tells me that they both have got to so with selecting items that would match, except that to use confine the context has to emphasize on the limited choices from a list. Right?
