Please, what would you say about this sentence: "To be confident of the various results of a simulation study, it is intuitive to be confident first of the collected simulation model inputs."

Is "in" still the best proposition?

AlpheccaStarsI am confident in the experimental data we used.
When I take a look at the monolingual dictionary such as Oxford, according to them, there are only two possibilities of the prepositions that they offer you and hence about, of. Nevertheless, I also tried typing these words in the Corpus, which has showed me a lot of uses of you preposition.

I use in most frequently. It is understandable to use "of" too. "About" would be my third choice.

Oh, I tried to use Macmillian and it has surprised me a lot. The other prepositions like in, about have been clearly mentioned and listed with examples. Sometimes it is worth using two other dictionaries to get the whole view of things you are looking up.

Thank you a lot for your reply

Thank you all. I'll use "confident in", so the sentence will be as follows: "To be confident in the various results of a simulation study, it is intuitive to be confident first in the collected simulation model inputs."
