Conduct half- day work twice a week

Hi teachers,

I have trouble putting all the needed vocabulary together. Can you please help me to correct my sentence below? Thank you.

A computer technician will stay in our office every Tuesday and Thursday. He will conduct half-day work twice a week.

Regards,

Tinanam

Top answer

A computer technician will now be on regular duty in our office, for a half day on Tuesdays and a half day on Thursdays. The use of "now" suggests that the schedule is now being implemented.

Dear Avangi,

Thank you for helping me with this topic. Now I understand how to use plural form with days.

Could I say:

--A computer technician will now be on regular duty in our office, for a half day every Tuesday and Thursday.

Thank you very much.

Hi Avangi,

Thank you very much.

Do native people say "He came here to conduct half-day work"?

Regards,

I've never heard it in the US.

We say, "He works part time."

"He only works mornings / afternoons."

"He only works five hours a day."
