Condone

I saw a guy stealing somebody's wallet that was left on the table. I just couldn't condone it and had to stop him from stealing.

is the use of condone correct and also are the sentences correct?

Hi The sentences are good but I'd say 'condone' is not a strong enough word If someone gets on the train without paying, I can't condone it - but it's not the end of the world If someone steals a wallet, it's worse. I'm not sure how to put it. I might say "I wasn't going to stand for that".
