Conditioned for's meaning

Hi all!

I can't decide myself between two possible meanings for "being conditioned for something".

Can someone please help me with that?

I didn't want to write too much, but now here is what I'm confused about more specifically:

What I'm trying to find out is the meaning when someone says something like: (rare expression, I think)

"I'm conditioned FOR beer." (or for anything)

Does this mean that I am attached to beer (no other types of alcohol I'm willing to drink in any circumsta

Conditioning means to prepare for something extraordinary - something one would not normally be able to accomplish.

He conditioned himself to run marathons in the desert.

Afer living in Siberia for twenty years, he was conditioned to living in cold weathe

Either the beer is the reward for performing some conditioned behavior correctly, or the beer is the trigger for producing a certain conditioned behavior. It's hard to say exactly

I got it and it's clear now.

John actually answared it, but because of the original context in which I tried to understand it, it made me a bit overcomplicate it.

("Because the person is conditioned for some degree of abundance or non-abundance, depending on the pre-existing conditions with the parents growing up.")
