I've written following sentence which contain conditional, "in addition" and "in spite of". Even though I've used those individually, this is the first time that I've ever use them together. Please someone let me know is there any mistake which I've done in the following sentence.
In addtion, in spite of the fact that given choice almost all countries would select a peaceful way to deal with other countries as well as citizens thereof, they should be prepared for any turbulent situations which might have to face.
In add i tion, in spite of the fact that given choice almost all countries would select a peaceful way to deal with other countries as well as citizens thereof, they should be prepared for any turbulent situations which they might have to face. This is OK, but stylistically I have slight misgivings about the treatment of "given choice". One option would be to just enclose it in commas, but then there are a lot of comma separations at the start of the sentence.
