conditional sentences tips

Hi everyone, I am learning conditional sentences but it is very confusing to me. The texts are long and technical, they really confuse me. So far, I understand there is the if-clause followed by the main clause. Past tense is use to refer to situation that had happened or modal remoteness (situation that did not happen).... huh? how can I tell the difference then? present tense is use to refer to the situation that may or may not happen.

can anyone give some tips to help me learn conditional sentences??

Anonymous some tips Learn the three basic patterns first, and practice writing sentences all three ways until you've mastered the mechanics of them for a lot of different verbs. After you can form sentences with ease you can start worrying about the subtle differences in meaning and expand your studies to more patterns and more variants of the three basic patterns. Don't attempt to learn everything at once.
