Hi,

What is wrong in these two sentences?

Direct sentence: If Dad had known about the crash, he would not have asked me why I (have? had?) lost my money.

Reported speech: I said that If Dad had known about the crash, he would not have asked me why I (have? had?) lost my money.

Whether this all happened recently or 20 years ago, 'had lost' is OK.
