Conditional sentences, if...were+to-infinitive

Hi,

I've a short question concerning conditional sentences and especially the construcition "if...were + to-infinitive".

"If she were to win the next four races, she would be world champion."

Could I also say: "If she won the next four races, she would be world champion." or do I have to use the first construction?

Thanks in advance,

C

If you think she is likely to win the 4 races, you say:

'If she wins the next four races, she'll be world champion.'
