Conditional Sentences

Hi everybody:

How we can use "would" in the if part of a conditional sentence? Because in E01S07 of Friends Phoebe says:

"If you would've let me finish, it goes on to say that he's probably not gay"

could you guys spell out in detail how and when we can use this kind of structure?
