Conditional sentences

Hello,

What type of conditional sentences should be used in a context like this?
(This person graduated from school many years ago.)
You know, my mother went to school and said that until she(the teacher) had apologised I wouldn't have attended her classes.

Thanks

Top answer

That is not a conditional sentence. The proper way to write that sentence is You know, my mother went to the school and said that until she (the teacher) apologized I wasn't going to/would not attend her classes. The implication, of course, is If the teacher had apologized, I would have attended her classes.
