CONDITION

Is it "A condition" i.e. the patient was discharged in "a good condition" OR the patient was discharged in "good condition."

Also where should I put the inverted commas- Before/After the full stop.

Top answer

In good condition is the usual phrase but I wouldn't consider it wrong to add the article. I think Americans tend to put the full stop before the quotation mark but many Britons prefer the other order. CB

Concerning the placement of quotation marks before or after the full stop, both are accepted. Just be consistent in your useage throughout your text.
