"In our greatest jail, we have no right to a lawyer, so I appeal to the WTI(World Tribunal on Iraq) to give Iraqis the feeling that they are not alone in their battle and their resistance is indeed the resistance of the world; condemnBush and Blair and whoever cooperated in destroying Iraq. "
I'd like to know the meaning of "condemn" in this sentence. Is it similar to "criticize"? or to "judicially pronounce someone guilty"? I would go for the former, because I think the latter is used usually like this. "He is condemned to death(or imprisonment)" What do you think?
* WTI is a people's court on Iraq war, organized by intellectuals, activists, and citizens from all over the world. It is not a 'official' court.
