Concrete

Is it correct to say: "In a zoo I saw tigers and lions walking on concrete"?

If "concrete" is not possible in this sentence, what word should I use?

Thank you

Hotmale, why would it not be possible? Isn't concrete a surface? Don't we all walk on concrete?

  • Hotmale, why would it not be possible?
  • Isn't concrete a surface?
  • Don't we all walk on concrete?
  • Since I don't know if you have ever been to a zoo or not, I won't assume that you know if there are concrete surfaces there or not.
  • Yes, there are many concrete surfaces at different zoos, thus the word concrete is absolutely correct.

I just thought that it's too simple. It is how I would say it in my language, but in most cases when I try to translate an expression word for word it turns out to be incorrect
