concern /be concerned with

what is difference between these two when they refer to "be about, relate to" for instance:
"The fable concerns forhigeness and redemption or The fable is concerned with forgiveness and redemption"

Top answer

Cavid Hummatov The fable [concerns / is concerned with] forgiveness and redemption. You can express it either way. Both are correct.

  • Cavid Hummatov The fable [concerns / is concerned with] forgiveness and redemption.
  • You can express it either way.
  • Both are correct.
  • It's possible that the second version gives the impression of something more remote and therefore more objective and possibly more scholarly.
