Hi.
May I replace 'conceptualization' with 'interpretation' in:
". This conceptualization would seem to imply that, absent any external factors, an individual would develop to some positive outcome. "

In my opinion, conceptualization stands for an idea of sth formed in your mind, and interpretation means the particular way in which sth is understood or explain. I can't find any way to replace it, and you? Ask the others for sure

The only other words I can think of that would work, would be "theory" or "viewpoint". Interpretation is entirely different. Conceptualization... can be understood by it's partsConcept - (noun) ideaConceptualize -- (verb) to form into a conceptConceuptualization -- (noun) a formed/framed concept This being the case, I think it most closely resembles a theory
