Hi All
Have hit another bump in the road with concept questions.

The way to make sure a student understands what they are saying - structure and grammar wise. I understand that you need to ask useful questions.
This is the example given;
“I’ll visit him tonight” following the question “Did you know that John’s in hospital?”
Useful concept questions are:
- Is the speaker talking about an action the past?
- Is the speaker talking about an action the future?
- Did the speaker decide to visit John before speaking?
- Did the speaker decide to visit John at the time of speaking?
We cannot answer the following questions because we do not have sufficient information, and also they do not help students to understand when to use “will” + verb. They are therefore not useful:
- What’s the matter with him?
- Which ward is he on?
I have to do 6 more examples whereby i have to decide whether the concept questions presented are useful or not?! (they have given me 6 questions and i have to decide which are useful and not useful!)
Can someone please expand on concept questions a bit more for me, as i am looking at all the questions presented to me and i think they are all relevant but they cant possibly be! I dont want to give the questions because i would like to be able to figure them out! But if i have to i can!!
Thank you so much in advance!!
