Vocabulary

conceive "of" something

The sentence I saw goes as "I cannot conceive of music that expresses absolutely nothing."

From what I know, it's either "conceive something" or "conceive something as ...", I've never heard of such an expression, would anyone care to explain?
Thanks in advance:)
