Vocabulary

conceivable/possible

Hello,
Some of the people I know tend to use both of them pretty much interchangeably. Can you detect any significant differences between them in:
- It is conceivable/possible that the manager made a mistake.
- The book covers every conceivable/possible aspect of this subject.
A lot of dictionaries define conceivable as "able to be imagined" and that strikes me as the main difference, but I may be wrong.

Thank you.

Consider this.
If you toss a coin, two results are possible (heads or tails).

But it sounds wrong to say that two results are conceivable.
