In current society, technology is contributing various developments to numerous areas, being no exception to education. Some people hold the opinion that computers are gradually replacing the role of teachers in the future. From my perspective, I totally do not agree with the statement.
To begin with, it has no denying for the contributions of the computers in training students. Firstly, lessons prepared by teachers will be more engaging and exciting with the assistance of computers. Imagines, sounds and stories can be put in teacher’s timeline that motivates students to pay much more attention in the lesson which are purely irksome. Secondly, students are able to get educated from home conveniently with a computer connected with the internet, especially during COVID-19 pandemic, in that way parents have no worry about that their offspring will get depletion in basic knowledge.
However, there are compelling shreds of evidence to support the view that teachers will never be transferred into computers. The main reason is human’s interaction cannot be replaced by robots. Teacher like a guide, a mentor or an inspiration of the school children and they not only teach specialized knowledge but they also provide students from the way how to apply the hypothesis in practical situations. In addition, teachers prepare moral education and soft skills such as independent learning habits, problem-solving, teamwork for their students, which are helpful in later careers. Another reason is lessons through the internet are also need teacher appearance and they interact with students, create motivational learning for them and keep children studying under their own discipline in the online classroom.
In conclusion, computers cannot outweigh or replace completely the role of teachers in tuition. The best available suggestion is students should make use of these technological machines in learning effectively combining with the restricted observation of their teachers and parents.
