Could you please help me to understand the differences between these two sentences?

a compromise between the needs of family and work

Thanks, I read it many times to understand. That was a very good explanation, and thank you for your time, but I didn't understand the logic of :

USFin compromise, you argue until reaching a point that both reach an agreement, some sort of outer force that made you pull back from your ideal conditions, but in a tradeoff, you see two good things, but according to limitation or some conditions, you choose let go one of your ideal and stick to other one.
