Comprehension

Hi

Can you help?

These are a few lines from a passage about dolphin's intelligence.

"Since dolphins have emerged from an environment which is very much like human's it is quite likely that they have possess different kind/level of intelligence."

My question: If they have evloved from an environment almost same like ours why should they possess different kind of intelligence?

I think there is a typographical error in the original, Suresh. ) It should obviously read something like this: Since dolphins have emerged from an environment which is very much unlike man's , it is quite likely that t hey possess a different kind/level of intelligence.
