Compound Adjective?

I am recently confused how to use compound adjective in a sentence like this example

Ex. We took a five-day trip to the Beach. or
We took five days trip to the Beach. or
We took a trip of five days to the Beach or
We took a five-day's trip to the Beach

Please explain the reason or the rule that can describe this.

Thank you

Don't capitalise beach. Your first sentence is correct. In adjectives like this the singular is used:

It was a two-mile walk.
This is a five-storey building.

I met a 50-year-old man.
I met two 50-year-old men.

If you leave out the last noun: I met two 50-year-olds.

A trip of five days is correct, but it isn't often used.
