Compliant or Complying?

Hi, can someone tell me what's the difference between
Compliant with and Complying with?

What is the most appropriate (accurate) way to say the following:

" <Compliant with/Complying with> the employment contract, Jan 15th will be my last day of work."

Appreciate the comments.

Compliant does not work here; complying with is awkward. I would use ' In compliance with the employment contract '.
