Complex Subject Participle Adjective?

I’m still so caught in the transition between old and new that I have trouble sometimes with these things. That’s why I was confused about it being a subordinate clause, since I had considered it a phrase. What is the designations for both now? Traditionally, a clause had to contain a subject.
