Complex - is it countable or uncountable?

Hello,

The word complex is a countable noun. But is it okay to skip the article while writing: you're suffering from God complex, or you're going through Christ complex.

The article 'a' and 'the' in front of God complex (and Christ complex) may look odd.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

It sounds better with the article to me, but you would do best to google the phrase and see what is used on a reputable psychology website.
