Complementizer

This market crash is a reminder that this economy is not stable yet.
He is sad that he lost the match.
Are the thats in the above two sentences examples of complementizer ?
In the first sentence "a reminder" and "that this economy is not stable yet." seem to be in apposition.

I would call those examples of "that" complementisers, yes.

I would not say that "a reminder" and "that this economy, etc." are in apposition, though: the market crash is the reminder, not the instability.
