What is a verb complement?

Can you please provide some example.

The definition is quite general, Hanuman: a verb complement is a word or phrase which 'completes the meaning' of the verb.

'She is interested in skydiving.'
'He recommended that we study hard.'

'My greatest desire is to sing.' Subject complement.
