Compex or simple sentence?

I believe the sentence below is a simple sentence because (online shopping means) is not an independent clause. Sure you could put (that) after (means) which I thought was a simple way to see that a sentence is complex. I believe (means) needs an object. Or have I missed something in advanced grammar books? Please help as the closest thing I know about this grammar is object complements. For example, "John said that he is going crazy." (is that complex?) O.K. tell me about the sentence below.

Online Shopping means customers are able to buy and sell products and services over the internet or other computer networks.

Because I am new here, I actually posted this twice. Sorry but thank you again.

I have been given a great introduction to complex sentences now.

It's funny, that I searched the internet for "complex sentences" and got almost the same structures again and again.

They kept listing adverbial clauses and adjectival clauses. I was not aware of noun clauses as complex senten
